caliber conversion

i am a fan of the 25/36 caliber and was wondering if it is possible to convert a 1893 marlin carbine 30/30 to a 25/36. can barrel and tube be switch out and a different carrier put into the reciever? thank you

Yes the barrel could be swapped out, but you could also have it relined and chambered in .25-36 for a little less money. Of course if you don't have dies for the .25-36 you might want to price them before you decide to change barrels or reline. These dies are considered "cusatom dies" as the caliber is obsolete, and I think they're up near $100 for RCBS, and around $75 for CH4D.
The carrier will most likely work without a change. I'd try it before bying another, as I've used .30-30 carriers in a .25-36 before and had no cycling issues.
