what is a beretta brigadier?

Post by tomjimmy00 »

Hello. Can anyone tell me what makes some of the Beretta 9MM pistols "Brigadiers'? I've seen this listed for some of the different models but I dont know what makes them different.

Tomjimmy00;

From what I can find, they have a heavier slide, which increases the overall weight, reducing the amount of felt recoil.

It was basically an early 92. The heavy slide was found to be unnecessary with the whimpie 9mm round (yes, I get to editorialize).
