1893 SRC front sight

Post by Jim D »

Does anyone know how the front sight is supposed to be connected to the barrel? I have one SRC where the mounting post for the blade has a dovetailed base that is rounded off to match the contour of the barrel. On
another 1893 SRC, I cant tell if it's got a dovetailed base or not. If it is, it is a very tight fit.

Thanks for the help!

They are just as you described Jim. Dovetailed, and rounded to match the barrel contour. Most are extremely well fitted, and hard to see the dovetail.
