Marlin Glenfield 30 Stock

Post by mellowme7 »

I have a Marlin Glenfield 30 that I bought new in 1969 and I would like to put some new wood on it and give it to my grandson for his first deer rifle.

Does anyone know if the Marlin 336 stock will fit the Glendfield 30 frame.

Yes they will. Places like Brownells.com sell synthetic stocks as well as the walnut originals. SW

I've also been told that Wild West Guns in Alaska is selling takeoff stocks from 336 Marlins for around $50 a set. Might want to give them a call.
Marlin lever actions 1870's-WWI, Ballards, and single shot rifles!

I was hoping that I could use the 336 wood because there is a much greater choice of patterns and grades available.

Thank you all so much for your response.
