Marlin shotgun model no. 24-G, any info? value?

Post by stingray1968 »

I have a Marlin shotgun with the latest patent date of 1909. The serial number is A20017, model reads 24-G. Any information on the details and/or value of this gun would be appreciated.

G is the grade, they were available in G the lowest then A, B, C, and D the highest. They were an improved Model 21, in takedown, automatic recoil lock on slide, solid Matte rib Mfg. 1908 to 1915 yours would be 1910 or later I suspect due to the 1909 patent date. The values go from $140 for a 60% to $325 for a 100% gun.
