Marlin Firearms Collectors Association

I have collected old tools for a long while and have always wondered about the photo in the Marlin Firearms book by Mr. Brophy. On page 79 there is a photo with the caption," Cutter Jaw for side cutting pliers that Marlin manufactured by the thousands." My questions to collectors of Marlin related items. Were these jaws marked in any way with a Marlin proof or acceptance mark? Did they just make the one jaw(cutter)? Were these manufactured for the W.SCHOLLHORN CO., of New Haven Conn. only?
I have a couple sets of these pliers on display with some of my Marlin related items.
