Marlin 1888
I'm looking for the front and rear sights for a Marlin 1888. I had a flip site on the barrel and a peep sight on the back of the stock. I had the gun restored to its original look. It had a flip side on it before and the guy took it off and said he broke it. I don't believe him but now at least me to find a new site for this gun and the catalog it said it was number 89. Can somebody help me find this

Re: Marlin 1888
If he "broke it" then he should give you back the broken parts as proof.
The 1888 used the early style rear barrel sight that has small points on either side at the rear of the sight. Front is a typical nickel silver blade used on many Marlins. A tang sight would be a Marbles or Lyman.
These sights occasionally show up on Ebay if you look often. I check every few days whenever I'm in need of one and eventually they show up in a few weeks or months.
