Can you tell me the correct model if this .22 lever action

This .22 leaver action I have. It has no model number. The S/N is S1785. 24" octagonal barrel If I can, later I may be able to add photos of this rifle.

I bet your lever gun has a tang sight, and that sight is covering the model designation. My guess with an S prefix is a Model 39, but if it has the tang sight you can remove the two screws and confirm the guess.
