I have a Marlin 39A that I need help trying to identify. The barrel is marked:
The Marlin Firearms Company, North Haven Conn
Original Golden 39-A
Micro-Groove Barrel
The two-letter code on the left side near the receiver is KG
The serial number on the upper tang is MR00875C
Is this a rifle put together by Remington using a Marlin barrel, or something else? Any help appreciated.

Airzoo Guy;
The KG code on the side of the barrel indicates your your 39-A was made in May of 2012. Remington was still using the Marlin roll dies to mark the barrels.

Due to the increasing cost of ammunition, there will be no warning shot!

Re: Marlin 39A Help
So, are you saying that the rifle is completely Remington, even the barrel? Did Remington use the same micro-groove technology?
If this rifle is truly all Remington, I guess I got lucky. It fits tightly, it looks nice, it has a nice trigger, and it shoots fantastic.
