Number under Lever is AC8588. Would like date of Manufacture. Also there is no safety block button. With Glenfiekd scope 4x25 mounted my thumb gets jammed under scope trick to decock the hammer. Need help Thanks

You can find original Marlin hammer extensions occasionally on Ebay, or get a Williams. The extension puts your thumb off to one side and easy to lower the hammer when installed with just a setscrew.
