Model 93 Early Serial Number

Post by Wild69Billy »

Just recently purchased a Model 93 with a Serial Number of 636. I checked with the Cody Muesuem and they have no records. I would appreciate any assistance in determining the date of production. Thanks

Wild69Billy;

The Marlin Model '93 came out in 1921. With a low serial number like yours, it most likely is a first year production gun.
Due to the increasing cost of ammunition, there will be no warning shot!

The growing federal deficit = generational slavery to the national debt.

If the world was perfect.......it wouldn't be.

Don't confuse an "early serial number" '93 with the model 1893 that have much larger serial numbers, even though they're all much earlier. When the Model '93 tang stamp began after WWI the new company began serial numbers all over again. So this may be an early '93, but it's later than the predecessor Model 1893.
Marlin lever actions 1870's-WWI, Ballards, and single shot rifles!
