Marlin 336 and Marlin 80-81 Extractors

Post by Larry Poppert »

I deal in gun parts and I am interested in reproducing Marlin 336 and Marlin 80-81 extractors. Do you know if these were made in-house by Marlin or were they sub-contracted. If sub-contracted, do you know by whom? Thank you Larry Poppert.

I doubt Marlin sub contracted their extractors, or much of anything. They were a very self sufficient company, and if anything they often supplied parts to other makers.
Marlin lever actions 1870's-WWI, Ballards, and single shot rifles!
