The is a hexagon barrel. Is marked 44W
What year is this gun made and what is the apx value it is in very good condition

By the way, the barrel is octagon shaped, 8 sides....not hex, only 6 sides.
Value of any antique firearm is dictated by the amount and condition of the remaining original factory finish on the wood and metal. Even though you mentioned it is in very good condition, that does not give an accurate description to be able to give an estimation of value. A few percentage points of condition make a big difference in value.
