Marlin Firearms Collectors Association

I recently inherited a Marlin Safety model 1889, 32-W, serial # 69899.
It doesn't have stock. Should I replace it? If so how and where? Is it worth more with
a replacement stock or no stock at all?

It's worth much more with a replacement stock than no stocks at all! I would not only replace it, but if it's got a forearm I'd replace buttstock and forearm to ensure they match once done. Not sure if they sell an 1889 stock set, but Precision Gun Stocks in Texas sells nice semi inletted stock sets. I've always used the 1894 set, and simply lengthen the inletted cut for the longer 1889 lower tang. Prices are very reasonable too at Precision.
I checked and they do offer 1889 stocks now, so that makes it easier!

I don't know a lot about rifle nomenclature. My Marlin is all metal, no wood all.
So I need is the buttstock and forearm for the octagon barrel...right?

Also, mine says 32-W. On the site they offer
Small Caliber, .32
or
Large Caliber, .38 / .44
Would I want the .32?

No such cartridge as "32/44" The cartridge you need is .32-20, and the rifle cartridge is .32-40, which is an old Marlin Ballard cartridge. .32W=.32-20 WCF.
