Model 60
I received a model 60 25 years ago from a neighbor. Just recently I started shooting it. I was looking for the date of mfg. There is a serial number but when I enter it into Marlins database it comes up with nothing. It says made in North Haven,CT and still has the Marlin sticker on the bottom of the stock. After shooting the slide does hold open. I can fit 15 rounds into the tube with no issue. Any help would be appreciated. Here are the first few #'s 09324xxx. Thanks.

The serial number does indicate the year of manufacture. In your case, subtract the first two digits ( 09 ) from 100 and get 91 or 1991.

Due to the increasing cost of ammunition, there will be no warning shot!
