could anyone tell me what bead i could use for a model 17?
i cant seem to find a replacement bead for the 17 or the 1898 in general, does anyone know the thread size or an appropriate bead i could use?

Ebay is full of shotgun beads for sale. It's not that important to be a specific size, unless this is a minty restoration. I usually go through my set of taps and try various taps in holes until one fits. Then I know what size to search for.

Well unfortunately I don't have any taps that small so I was hoping someone could tell me the thread size so I could buy one off Ebay.
