Oregon Arms Collector's annual two day collector show this last weekend! Came home with a "bucket list" Ballard for me!
.44-75 Ballard on a 4 1/2 A-1 Mid Range. Couple tiny repairs needed to the horn tip, but very nice condition, and perfect bore! 1876 production, and Nimschke engraving.

That is a bucket list rifle...Just awesome!
Congrats on the find..
Thanks Darin!
You likely saw this one on our table at the CGCA show in May? My traveling partner had it for sale there, and it got lots of looks and close inspection, but thankfully the value of these guns kept it from selling there. So when he brought it to our August 2 day collector show I asked if he was interested in anything I had for sale as part trade. He still wanted to sell it, but at the end of the show we did a trade that was fair to both of us.
