Differences between Model 60's?

Post by philmon »

I just bought a used Model 60W ... which is not specifically listed on the Marlin Firearms site. They have 60, 60C, 60DL, 60SS, and 60SSK listed...

I've cleaned it. Won't be fired until this weekend.

Anyway, can somebody tell me or point me to what the significance of the "W" is?

I am betting that you bought it a Wally world? That would be the W designation. If not you may have to call Marlin to get a good answer. Either way enjoy that 60 they are great. I love mine.

Pawn shop. By the serial number, it's about 9 years old. Had a bit of crud in it, but not anymore.

It's going for a spin this weekend at the firing range.
