production of MR-7's in 280 Rem

Post by Savorino »

I have a Marlin MR-7 in 280 Rem. I believe its got to be pretty rare since it was a chambering added in the last year or two of production. Any way of finding out how many were made?

Might send a letter to Marlin, since these came out in 1996 should be records on them at the factory I would think.

MR-7 in .280 Rem.

Post by 3Dtestify »

I have been interested in buying the MR-7 in .25-06 or .280 Rem. & have been checking the auction websites. I agree, these seem to be fairly rare & hard to find. I believe the MR-7 was made from 1996 to 1999. In my 1999 Marlin catalog, these two calibers were offered along with the .270 & .30-06. Was this the only year the .25-06 & .280 were offered? Please advise if anyone knows or how to find out.
