Does anyone know about a Marlin Safety #59748 from New Haven, Con Pantened Oct 11, 1887 - April 2, 1889? Thank you.

Well to start with, it appears to be a Model 1889, from the serial maybe around 1892-3 build/ship date.There should be a caliber marking on the top of the barrel close to where it meets the frame, might be sorta faint, but still should be there. Either 32W, 38W, or 44W......Buck 8) :roll:
If Marlin made SA revolvers, I'd be shooting those, too!!!

32W= 32-20 WCF....... 8) :wink:

Absolutely! All 1889 Marlins fall into the antique range, as they were discontinued long before 1899.
Marlin lever actions 1870's-WWI, Ballards, and single shot rifles!
