I know this is a little off of the topic at hand, but have any of you taken a look at the Spartan SPR22 rifles in 45-70. I have a friend attempting to get me to purchase one. I just wanted to know if any of you have shot them or have heard anything about them. At the price of 550 for a dbl rifle is great.

Thanks
Tim

The Spartans are made by Baikal in Russia. These were originally imported by EAA in Florida under their Bounty Hunter II line......Buck 8)
If Marlin made SA revolvers, I'd be shooting those, too!!!

Read that: theoretically imported by EAA (and now Remington).
They seem to be unobtainium.
I had put a deposit on two, a .30-06 and a .45-70, two years ago - and was continually reassured that they were "due incountry, anytime now" by the dealer, the distributor and EAA.
I recently cancelled my order & bought some domestic rifles.
