Model 39A

Post by Rick4Titan »

I own a 1974 model 39A that has worked flawlessly for years. Recently while firing the weapon the lever jammed in the open position. I disassembled, emptied the magazine, cleaned then reassembled it. The action worked perfectly until I loaded ammunition into the tube then the lever jammed in the open position again. Any suggestions what might be causing this?

Might take a close look at the cartridge cutoff. Part #26 on this diagram:

My 39M did the same thing. Cartridge cutoff getting in the way.
