1893 what caliber
I have a lever action that was made in 1903, but I don’t know what caliber it is, it’s a larger bore than a 32 special. How can I tell it’s not stamped on the barrel

Mratop;
The only caliber larger than the .32 Special in the Model 1893 would be the .38-55 Ballard cartridge. Since you state your gun was made in 1903, you could post the serial number and the old factory records could be checked for your gun. It would be unusual that the caliber is not stamped on the barrel. It should be on top of the barrel, just in front of the receiver.

Due to the increasing cost of ammunition, there will be no warning shot!

Use a magnifying glass! Many have light stamps that people don't see until they look closer.
Marlin lever actions 1870's-WWI, Ballards, and single shot rifles!
