Marlin Model 93

Post by Vintedge70 »

I have a Marlin lever 30-30 model 93. It says Marlin Firearms Co. on the octagon barrel. It says Model 93 on the stock tang. The barrel measures 20". No bulls eye or star. The serial is A1593 under the lever. I have shot this gun and it shoots and operates perfectly. The case hardening is mostly gone.
Anyone know the year and value? '20's; 30s?

With the serial number under the lever, and no bullseye, it most likely is in the 1921/1922 time frame.
Due to the increasing cost of ammunition, there will be no warning shot!

The growing federal deficit = generational slavery to the national debt.

If the world was perfect.......it wouldn't be.

Unfortunately it's impossible to even give a wild estimate of the value with simply the model as info. We'll need pictures, a very good description of the bore, and whatever else you can provide to give a estimate.
Marlin lever actions 1870's-WWI, Ballards, and single shot rifles!

Look at the section titled "NO LONGER GUEST QUESTIONS". There is a post titled on how to post photos.
