Hello, I have been on and off attempting research about this gun that has been in my family for over a century with pictures to tell the story. This gun is fantastic, so smooth. I have joined here to post some pictures of my 30-30 to get any feedback regarding the short serial number that doesn't seem to align with anything I have been able to find online. I carefully removed the plate on the stock and the matching code is stamped there as well. Code is: D210
Of course any feedback about the gun is welcome, if there is any interest I will post the picture of my relatives on horseback in early 1900's as well.
Once I figure out how to post pictures.
Thank You!

Where is the serial number? Is it up by the forearm or back, under the lever? Makes a difference as to when it was made.
If the serial number is up near the forearm, then it was made about 1919 or 1920.
If it is under the lever, then it was made later, sometime in the mid 1920's, and maybe a little later.

Due to the increasing cost of ammunition, there will be no warning shot!

That is a typical example of the Model 1893, assembled from parts on hand by the Marlin-Rockwell Corporation during WW I. Round barrel, .30-30 caliber. Your example is in extremely exceptional, overall original condition as it left the factory. Very nice!
