What does the number stamped under the trigger lever mean?
I was cleaning an old marlin 3030 that dates back to roughly 1956 from the other numbers I’ve been able to find but I recently found a new number stamped under the trigger lever that says E5686. What does this mean?

That number is the actual serial number of that particular rifle. The "E" serial number prefix indicates that this particular rifle was produced in 1948.

Due to the increasing cost of ammunition, there will be no warning shot!
