Marlin model 39
Just picked up a Model 39 with serial # HS3845. Case colored with octagon barrel. Pretty decent condition for age. Can anyone help with year of manufacture? I am assuming very old due to 4 digit serial number. Mike

Re: Marlin model 39
Mike;
The "HS"serial number prefix indicates your Marlin Model 39 was made sometime between 1932 and 1939. Within the range in the 3800, probably late 1932 or early 1933.
