My cousin inherited this and I got another gun.
I want to replicate his.
Marlin 39-A but its serial number is 311732
That means made in 1931 right?
I enter it on one site and it says 1905???
Help me lol

Sorry, but that date is not correct. Normally, you would subtract the first two digits from 100 to get the year of manufacture, ( i.e. 100 - 31 = 69 or 1969 ), but in this case, that does not work as that system did not come into use until 1972, So, is there a letter prefix to that serial number? Or, is the first 3 of the serial number a letter or another number? Sometimes, the stamping is not as clear as it should be and can be mis-read.
