Indentify my Marlin please

Post by trentz »

I am a newby and I am in the UK.
Can someone identify this Marlin .44M for me? What model is it? I bought it 6 years ago from a shooter who had it for two years.
It looks like a cowboy 1894 with a "Pistol grip" but not many were made? Serial number: 96006077

Trentz;

Your Marlin is a Model 1894 PG (Pistol Grip) that was made in 2004. These are somewhat scarce as it was a model that was cataloged for only 2 years, 2003 and 2004.
Due to the increasing cost of ammunition, there will be no warning shot!

Chason12425;

The caliber you mention does not exist. Could it be a .32-20? Also, the last patent date should be Aug. 1, 1893, not 1877.
There should be a model marking on the upper tang, behind the hammer.
No one will give a value without knowing everything about a particular item or seeing photos of it. There are way too many variables to take into account that affect the value.
Looking forward to your reply.
