27S convert 25RF to 25-20
Has anyone looked into how much work would it take to convert a 25 rimfire to 25-20? the rimfire ammo is super hard to find and expensive while the 25-20 is easy to buy. Any ideas? I would love to take some of these rim files and make them useable again. Thanks.

I should have put this under rim fire, not levers! Anyway, I think you could change bolts. I believe the rimfire and centerfire bolts are wholly interchangeable and that would solve firing pin and extractor. Would the chamber take a center fire cartridge? What about shell lip thickness?

It certainly wouldn't be cost effective, as there are numerous parts that need to be changed to accomodate the larger rim diameter of the .25-20WCF cartridge! The mag tube assemblies are different. The carriers are different. The breech bolts are different. It would be far easier to convert it to .22LR rimfire than to convert to .25-20WCF. But I still wouldn't do it in .22LR either.
