Golden 39A

Post by oldman »

I have 2 Golden 39-A 22 lever action rifles and want to see when they were made. The first has a serial # 68109036 and the 2nd has a serial # 22279867. Thanks for any help I may get.

Oldman;

The 39-A with the serial number beginning with 68 was made in 1968. The other, with the serial number starting with 22 was made in 1978.
Due to the increasing cost of ammunition, there will be no warning shot!

Thank you, I really appreciate that.
I also have a nice old Marlin model 18. It's a 22 short pump action with an octagon barrel. It holds about 15 rounds of 22 shorts but will shoot a 22LR one at a time. It doesn't have a serial number and I was wondering an approximate date of manufacturing.
