Marlin model 97

Post by Ggreen1 »

I have a model 97 from 1906. I believe it would be the "deluxe" model. Has checkered grip, 24" octagon barrel. To me it's in great shape. Bluing has faded to almost nil, but no rust or pitting. I've been through it, and bore is in great shape for age. Action is great. I will shoot it eventually. Unless someone convinces me to sell it before I get the chance. Anyone have an offer? Or an idea what it's worth? Some of the screws are dinged up. Whoever had it before wasn't to careful when working on it. Still great for 112 years old.

Without pictures no one could make you a fair offer.

If you go to General Questions and Answers there is a thread on posting pictures.
