I have a Marlin Safety patent Oct,11,1887-April,1889

I would like to get some info on this Marlin rifle. It needs some work and would be a nice gun I think its a 44-40.I hope I can get the trigger, butt plate and some other peices with a little more work. Who could I contact?

I believe we're dealing with an 1889 Marlin. The patent dates match mine. I'll let some of our more well versed members expound on parts......Buck 8) :D
If Marlin made SA revolvers, I'd be shooting those, too!!!

Serial #38795 puts here leaving Marlin early 1890. I have found a site with an exploded veiw of my rifle exactly. I'll have to get her one peice ata time,but they are there.The Spokesperson from Marlin said when they sold those parts they were by the 5 gallon buckets full to all over he place.Just thought I'd let ya'll know I am makin headway"
