I don't think Marlin made a Model 54 shotgun. They made a model 50 and 55 though.

sorry.i'll tell you what i already know. According to marlin resident historian.....manufactured 1963 only, she took a guess at 500 or less produced,and with 20 yrs on job this was the 2nd time she had questions about one. My question is , does anyone know of a 54 being sold or bought? what would one in 95% bring to a collector ? She emphasized the point of it being rare. I thought that with this being a haunt of hardcore collectors , someone would know about them. Don't bother looking to Brophy. His book has nothing on them.

I think it's so rare, not even the hardcore collectors have heard of it.
