Electric Factory;
There does not happen to be a "JJ" sight code for the Lyman sight. There is a single "J", "JA" and "JM". These are for Marlins, mainly the 1893 and 1895. The sight for the 1894 would be stamped with the letter "E".
The tangs of the Marlin rifles are drilled and tapped with two small holes for the mounting of a tang sight. The proper spacing is (I beleive) to be 1 1/4 inch on centers. You can measure that for yourself.
That is a pretty tall sight for a Model 1894, and the sights for the Model 1893 were set back a little further on the upper tang, since the breech bolt is longer. It may not be a comfortable sight for you when it is mounted on the upper tang when shooting.
Frankly, I would find a sight with the "E" stamp on the bottom and use it.
I hope this helps.
