I just got this one back from Marlin yesterday. I sent them a 336C receiver manufactured in 1970 and had them put a 336CB conversion on it in 30-30 calibres.

I bought one of these "conversions" about a year ago.... the rifle originally was a Marlin Model 30AW made in 1976, on 9/24/2009 it was converted at the Marlin factory in North Haven, CT to a Marlin Model 336CB, by adding a CB barrel, mag tube, sights and deluxe forearm. The stock came from an 1895 Century Limited. The Lyman 66 target sight and 17A globe sights were added later for silhouette shooting.

It's great!
