Post by Savvy Jack »

Finally got my rife, was wondering what the manufactured date was. The sn# starts with 0302xxxx.

Also, why is it a "Limited"?
Thanks

2000-03= 1997. A fairly early gun, second year production, I believe. Not sure about the reasoning behind the Limited nomenclature.............Buck 8)
If Marlin made SA revolvers, I'd be shooting those, too!!!

The year 2000 minus the 3 equals 1997, the year it was made/shipped. guns made after 2000 will have high lead numbers. For example, I have an 1894 CBC in .38 that's lead number is 98. The year 2100 minus 98 equals 2002, the year it was made/shipped
