Colt Style .45 Replicas or Look Alikes?

Post by Savvy Jack »

I have been looking around at some Colt style replicas in 45 cal. Can anyone give me some tips on whats the best for quality and price for new or newer guns? Obviously Colt would be a great choice but the dang prices are crazy! Is Uberti a good gun?

Some people will scoff at them, but I like mine just fine. I won't say you could feed them a steady diet of 'mastadon whackers', but with modest loads, they should last a very long time.

I've put over 500 rounds of 44 Russian & 44 Colt through my Uberti repro 1872 open top, and it's as tight as the day I bought it. SW
