Help req - id Marlin Cowboy type

Post by Tireur »

Hi,

First post, and I'm after help.

Last year I picked up a used (never been fired) Marlin 1894 Cowboy .357/.38.

It has a checkering on the grip / fore grip.

I've not been able to see another example of this type, plenty with no-checkers, but none with. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It shoots like a dream! Ragged holes at 50 yds. Will I be able to extend it's shooting out to 100 / 200yds.

Thanks in advance

24" barrel? It's one of the earlier ones with the checkering. They switched to smooth about 2002.....................Buck 8)
If Marlin made SA revolvers, I'd be shooting those, too!!!
