Model 43 and model 44....what is difference

Post by rolextjr »

I have been looking at both the model 43 and the model 44B Marlins shotguns. They appear to be very similar......what is the real difference? Are they both 2 3/4 inch chambered guns. Is there a source for a disassebly guide?

Tom;

The Model 43 is a 12 gauge whereas the Model 44 is a 20 gauge.
The Model 43 is the updated, and renamed version of the Model 28, and the Model 44 is the updated, and renamed version of the Model 31, both were put out by the Marlin Firearms Corporation after 1922.
I hope this helps.
Due to the increasing cost of ammunition, there will be no warning shot!

Finding any disassembly or assembly guide information seems to be a challenge - I'd love to find a how-to myself.
