how can i find out how out how old my marlin model 55 goose gun is...

If your Model 55, bolt action shotgun does not have a serial number, then it would have been made sometime between 1954 and 1968. Prior to 1968, some firearms were not required to have serial numbers, so Marlin did not serialize some .22 caliber rifles and shotguns.
If it has a serial number, refer to the information posted in "General Questions" section on this site.

My goose gun has a serial number,first four numbers are 2368,cant you subtract the first two numbers from 100 and it gives you the year it was made.23 from 100 is 77.so this gun was made in 1977.is that right...
