Marlin Model No. 30 Pump shotgun
I just saw a 16 ga. Marlin, exposed hammer pump shotgun that had Marlin Model No. 30 stamped on the metal strap on the top of the stock above the pistol grip. Just curious if anyone is familiar with that model.

The Model 30 was made in both 16 (1911 to 1917)and 20 (1915 to 1917) gauge. They were made in the 4 grades, A, B, C and D along with Standard Field and Special Field grades in the 16 gauge. The standard barrel length was 25 inches but longer were available. There are some marked 30-G which had improvements to the hang fire safety system. The Model 30 is a takedown action. The Model 30 action had a smaller receiver than the 12 gauge guns made at the time.
