1898 12 ga hammer type pump shotgun butt plate
Hi! Can anyone send me a pic of what the correct butt plate for this model looks like? I have 3 different guys telling me theirs is the right one?? I think I may also need a magazine spring. My email is cpk43@verizon.net Thanx Phil Giacomantonio

Cpkphill;
Go to http://www.gungrip.com (NC Ordance of Wilson, N.C.) and in the search box at the upper left, type in either "Marlin" to get you to all the Marlin butt plates, or B344B which is labled "Marlin 17 "Marlin" butt plate. This is the correct butt plate for the Model 1898 shotgun. It has serrations between the butt plate screws, and "Marlin" in script written across the toe of the butt plate. Any other butt plate is not correct for the Model 1898 unless it was shipped from the factory with a recoil style, Silvers pad.
I hope this helps.

Due to the increasing cost of ammunition, there will be no warning shot!
