Marlin 12 Gauge given to me

Post by Recontaz »

Hello everyone, I need some information on a Marlin shotgun that I have just received. IT is a Marlin and the serial number on it is # 5941. It seams to be very old. I don't have any other information on it. I can take some pictures of it if I can't get any information.

Recontaz;

The serial number really does not help much as there are several different styles of shotguns that could have that serial number. (exposed hammer, hammerless and those after 1921 by Marlin Firearms Corporation, etc.)
If there are patent dates on the barrel, that would help, maybe. Any other markings will help plus a little better description such as does it have an exposed hammer, where the serial number is located, where the "Hang Fire Safety" release is located (button or lever that allows the action to be opened) Is there a serial number on the barrel? It will be different from the receiver SN.
Looking forward to your reply.........
Due to the increasing cost of ammunition, there will be no warning shot!

The growing federal deficit = generational slavery to the national debt.

If the world was perfect.......it wouldn't be.
