National Arms Co

Post by bussdaddy »

I have a National Arms Co. 12 gauge hammer pump shotgun that i was told was manufactured in 1926 from the previous owner at a local gun show. Is this a marlin? It doesn't have Marlin any where on it. The serial number on the bottom of the barrel is 119340m, and the serial number on the bottom of the action is 112179. It has a 29 in barrel. I have heard that they are dangerous to shoot. anyone know its approx value or any more info on it?

Bussdddy;

Check your other post in the dissassembley in pictures post.
Due to the increasing cost of ammunition, there will be no warning shot!

The growing federal deficit = generational slavery to the national debt.

I had the same National Firearms shotgun, 12 gauge, it had 2 barrels with it. I researched it quite a bit years ago. It was made for Marlin in NY I believe from the early 1900 if my memory serves me right. I just got rid of mine 2 days ago with both barrels for $300, it was in good condition but from all I read it was known as "The Widowmaker". I never attempted to shoot it for that reason, it is a nice wallhanger but I really had no need for mine.
