Hello All,
My name is Jason (in FL.)
I am new to the forum and I have a Marlin 20 gauge Model 90 (I think a 1952) that my grandfather gave me to sell.
Its ser # is J299
Its in great shape
He thinks he got it from Sears back in the day
I was just wondering how much money I should ask for this gun?
Thanks and here are some pics:

The J-serial number does indicte your model 90's was made in 1952.
Can't tell if it has 28" barrels (typically choked Mod/Full) or 26" barrels (typically choked IC/Mod). While there are no records remaining, it is assumed that there were relatively fewer 20 ga. Model 90's made than 12 ga. or 16 ga. Model 90s. Consequently, they generally are worth more depending on condition. There apparently were fewer made with 26" barrels so they may be worth more than those with 28" barrels.
Based on your photos, if it were mine, I would ask at least $400 for it. But, it all depends on the actual condition and how much someone is willing to pay. Good luck!
