Marlin 1898

As a Dutch collector of pumpguns I can buy a Marlin 1898 pump shotgun.
To be considered antique and free available (no FFL) over here it must be a blackpowder cartridge gun. Can someone tell me or the 1898 model is a blackpowder only gun ?

While the 1898 shotgun was made during the black powder era, it does not have a Damascus or Twist steel barrel and is safe to shoot occasionally with mild modern target loads. SW
