Marlin Lever action
I have a Marlin Lever action shotgun, 410 2 1/2 and am looking for information regarding the gun; year produced? rarity? etc

We will assume that you are referring to an original Marlin Model 410, manufactured between 1929 and 1933. There are no factory records to indicate when or to whom they were shipped or the exact number made. It is estimated that there were about 10,000 of them manufactured with either a rare 22 inch barrel or the more common 26 inch barrel. There were a very few deluxe versions made, too.
Marlin re-introduced the Model 410 in 2004, but they are a little barrel heavy as they use a rifle barrel, bored out to shoot the shot shells.
I hope this helps.
