model help

Hi, I have a 12 gauge over and under I'm trying to determine a model on and value. It is a marlin as I said, over and under, and by the trigger or under it reads H509. That's the only number I can see. Any help? Or what/where I should look?

With the limited information you provided, my guess is it is a Marlin Model 90 made in 1951.

Is it open between the barrels?

You should see the following on the left side of the top barrel
