#2 ballard in 38-55

Post by 40-65tom »

Do a search on Gunbroker under Ballard to see a mis-matched #2 in 38-55. The seller is some sort of pawn/gun shop. I believe this is a dangerous combination and sent a message to that effect. What do the experts think?

I can hear it ticking as we speak Tom! It's just a matter of time until someone outs a factory round down the tube and it cracks the frame. Question is whether they'll simply have broken #2 or get hurt in the process. Now that the seller has been informed by you, he's taking his chances if it does sell without a warning from him.-Vall

Surprise, I heard back from the seller. He said he had seen a lot of them set-up that way and owned and shot one himself. He felt it was safe. Basically, mind your own business.
